Jerry Griffin
Jerry GriffinChairperson & Facilities Director
Jerry has served 10+ busy years on the Board. He jumped in head first in 2010 helping to implement the Access Pass system so members could use the Fitness Room outside of office hours, a feature which has been enormously popular. With his background as a gym franchise owner and in construction and development, he covers all the bases in terms of keeping our fitness room and facilities in smooth working order, and he’s also a valuable member of our marketing committee. Many people also know him through his hugely popular SWEAT and Bootcamp classes, which he teaches regularly at the centre.

Chris McPhedran
Chris McPhedranTreasurer
Growing up in the small community of Hornby Island gave Chris appreciation for community and the value of community organizations in bringing people together. When it came to education, there was no better way to rebel against his hippy parents than to become a professional accountant which he achieved in 2007. Since that time Chris married and now lives with his wife and two children in Black Creek. Having participated in a number of activities at the community centre, he came to appreciate the fabulous staff and BCCA facilities as a resource for the surrounding communities, which he believes is an important part of us all getting through and flourishing during these curious times.
